Internship
Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University accepts interns within the scope of the Presidential Career Center Internship Mobilization National Internship Program .
Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Library provides students of the Department of Information and Records Management with the opportunity to do university and research library internships.
- Interns do their internships in periods determined as suitable for the student and the institution.
- Interns do their internships at Menteşe Library, the central library of our University.
- At the end of the internship, it is aimed that the interns will gain knowledge and skills such as learning the service policy of the library, comprehending professional ethical principles, applying professional theoretical knowledge, career planning, working together and in harmony, and taking responsibility.
- Interns receive theoretical and practical training in Collection Management, Movable Registration and Control, Lending, Consultation and User Services Units and Open Access services office.
Compliance with the Rules Students who do internship in our library must comply with all rules applicable to staff (working hours, general working rules, etc.). Students who show incompatibility in the internship program may be removed from the program and internship applications will not be accepted again.

Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Menteşe Library, Department of Information and Records Management accepts 3rd and 4th year students as interns.
Students who want to do an internship can apply with an official letter in accordance with the internship regulations they will receive from the Information and Records Management Departments of their universities and the Internship Application Petition linked below.
In addition, at the beginning of the internship; During their internship in our institution, they are obliged to submit a letter stating that the insurance procedures will be carried out by their universities in accordance with Article 25 of the Vocational Education Law No. 3308 and the "SSI Insured Employment Declaration".
The period in which the intern students will do their internship is planned in advance and communicated to them by the relevant librarian when they start their internship. During the internship period, students are provided with practice in all units of the library (Cataloging-Classification, Provision, Lending, Consulting, Periodicals, etc.).
At the End of the Internship
- Students gain knowledge and experience in the field of university/research libraries and librarianship,
- They have the opportunity to get to know the librarianship profession, to follow the developments related to the profession and to take part in new applications,
- They take part in the profession practically and have ideas to determine their careers according to their professional interests.
